Coach Ed Muntz has officially released the Wesley women's soccer 2010 schedule. This year's slate features nine home games at Scott D. Miller Stadium and eight road matches.
The Wolverines open the season September 1st on the road vs. the Griffins of Gywnedd-Mercy College. The last meeting between the two programs was in 2006 when the Wolverines were still in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference. Wesley beat the Griffins 2-1 in conference playoffs and continued their run to the PAC Championship Game. The following year Wesley College entered the Capital Athletic Conference.
The Wolverines will host Neumann College on September 4th for their home opener. All homes contests in 2010 will be night games with either a 7:00pm or 6:00pm kickoff.
Capital Athletic Conference play will open on September 15th against Marymount University. The Wolverines will also host Hood College, York College of Pennsylvania and St. Mary's College of Maryland. That leaves Salisbury, Stevenson, University of Mary Washington and Frostburg State University on the road. This will be Frostburg's first season in the Capital Athletic Conference.
