Alumni Game

Yesterday's Alumni Game was a complete success with 20 former players coming back to visit Wesley. Some of the former players on hand were Kristen Lupo (1998), Christine Holmes (2005), Carla Cimino (2005), Lauren Decker (2003), Georgia Haubrich (2008) and All-Time Leading Goal Scorer Kyle Savidge (2007). The final score was Wesley 3 Alumni 0...After the game everyone stuck around and enjoyed some great food. Thanks to all alumni for coming back and sharing the day with Wesley Soccer! Team Bowling Night

After a tough week of training in the heat, the team decided to take on bowling last night. The players really showed off their bowling skills and everyone had a quality time. Preseason Camp 2009

The week is off to a great start and the players are working at a high level. With 19 new players in camp and the depth of our returning class, the coaching staff is excited about the new look. We are fast approaching the Alumni Game on August 29th and the start of the season. We will add new camp photos over the next few days.

What's your academic major and how are you able to manage both soccer and your school work?

PHYSICAL EDUCATION K-12...IT DOES GET HARD TO MANAGE BOTH SOCCER AND SCHOOL BUT THE PAST TWO YEARS I RECEIVED HELP FROM UPPER CLASSMEN...ALSO MAKING SURE I GOT WORK DONE BEFORE PRACTICES AND GAMES...JUST KEEPING MY PRIORITIES STRAIGHT.

How do you feel about the upcoming 2009 season?
EXCITED AND READY FOR A NEW START...I'M HOPEFUL WE ARE A STRONG TEAM IN THE MAKING.

Who is your favorite soccer player in the world?
CHRISTIANO RONALDO

Why did you choose to attend Wesley College?
TO KEEP MY ACADEMIC AND SOCCER CAREER GOING AND FOR THAT SMALL SCHOOL FEELING THAT GIVES A COMFORTABLE HOME...LIKE FAMILY.

What's in your IPOD right now?
I HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING BUT IT MOSTLY RANGES FROM JOHN MAYER, JASON MRAZ, NORAH JONES, TO LIL WAYNE, TI, T-PAIN, LADY GAGA AND KERI HILSON.

When and Why did you start playing soccer?
WHEN I WAS 5, MOM AND DAD DRESSED ME IN MY OVERSIZED BIG JERSEY AND SHIN GUARDS AND SENT ME TO THE TOWN REC SOCCER PROGRAM, I LOVED EVERY MOMENT OF IT, AND THAT FEELING NEVER FADED.

What club team did you play for prior to attending Wesley?
OCEAN ELITE, NJ

What are your thoughts about England/Scotland Tour 2010?
IT COULDN'T COME ANY FASTER! ITS GOING TO BE AN EXPERIENCE THAT I WILL NEVER FORGET. BEING ABLE TO VISIT ANOTHER COUNTRY AND OPEN THE DOORS TO NEW THINGS.

What do you think about the New state of the art Wesley Soccer Team Room?
IT'S THE COOLEST! EVERYONE IS JEALOUS OF OUR FABULOUS LOCKER ROOM AND I DON'T BLAME THEM! WE ARE LUCKY TO HAVE SUCH A GREAT PLACE TO PREPARE FOR PRACTICE AND GAMES!

What do you love about Wesley Soccer?
BEING ABLE TO PLAY THE SPORT I LOVE AND SHARING A BOND WITH MY TEAMMATES...IN MY HEART SISTERS.
